The initiative is designed to empower youth, women, persons with disabilities, and grassroots communities with civic knowledge, leadership awareness, constitutional understanding, and the skills necessary for informed and peaceful participation ahead of Kenya's anticipated 2027 electioneering period.
The project seeks to bridge the growing gap between citizens and governance systems by promoting accessible, youth-friendly, creative, and community-centered civic engagement approaches. Through meaningful participation and inclusive dialogue, the initiative aims to strengthen democratic values, social cohesion, and active citizenship at the community level.

Key implementation approaches will include:
• Community forums and public dialogues
• Arts, culture, and spoken word for civic education
• Digital awareness and civic engagement campaigns
• Leadership development dialogues
• School and youth outreach programmes
• Ward-based civic discussions
• Peacebuilding and conflict prevention activities
• Voter awareness and civic participation forums
The project will be implemented by Paa Paa Initiative Kenya in collaboration with local stakeholders, youth leaders, community-based organizations, creatives, civil society actors, and other partners committed to strengthening civic participation and peaceful democratic engagement.
